A Czech dream

Two young scenario writers Vit Klusak and Filip Remunda, of the cinema scool of Prague, made a surprizing movie, which is also their work of end of studies, like an attempt at movies-reality. In 2002, they obtained from an advertising agency that it prepares, by a campaign posting and spots televised, the opening of a supermarket whose prices would defy any competition.

The two apprentices scenario writers did not intend to open anything and the profti the occasion to film the event to be made consume in its works. The day of the inauguration of the supermarket whose a great number of people run in front of a false frontage that seems a supermarket.
Ceský sen is edifying to show the speed with which the east europe countries,passed from cummunism to capitalism, from waiting for the products of first need to the waiting for the gadgets on the new supermarkets.

On August 15, 2004, a 16 year old girl was hung on a public place of Neka, small industrial town at the edge of the Caspian Sea, Iran.
Atefah Sahaaleh was condemned to died for “crime against chastity” by mollah Haji Reza' I, judge, prosecutor and chief of the local government in a country which has just elected as chair islamist the integrist which is. The mollah himself obtained the authorization of the supreme Court of Iran to carry out the young girl. He passed the cord to her to the neck of his own hands, before it is not hoisted using a crane posed on a truck.
Using images turned clandestinely in the birthplace of Atefah, of testimonys of people having known it, as well as reconstituted images, a film made by Monica Garnsey and Arash Sahami tells the terrible history of the life and the tragic death of an ordinary girl, under the influence of mollahs in Iran.
